Worm Farms
You will need to do this if you are using a homemade worm bin or one that does not allow for easy movement of the worms between bins. If your worm bin is part of any of the purchased worm farms, you will probably be able to do most the sorting in the bin.
The first thing is to allow the worms to work in their new bin for around three months. After this, dump its contents out onto plastic or a piece of paper, under a bright light. Allow the worms to burrow through to the bottom. Then sort through for the castings and casings.
The worms will now be in a pile at the bottom of the soil. You will be able to count and sort your worms. Then divide them and place them into their new bins.
Superior quality greenhouse panels brought success
My venture in the greenhouse supplies business became a great success last year and one of the main reasons, I believe, is that I deal in superior quality Greenhouse Panels. Apart from being strong, lightweight and lasting the cost is modest, and they can be used for many purposes. The plastic is translucent and allows diffused light to enter, thus encouraging the growth of lush plants. The material is strong and can withstand wind and snow, yet air is trapped inside the greenhouse allowing for collection of the maximum of solar energy, reducing reduces heating costs. I always believe in offering quality products, and in this case it has paid dividends.
Do You Have Worms?
My wife was breeding worms in our home by using dustbins. She would place one bin over the other and used to separate the worm castings from the leftover food scraps and she was indeed finding it highly messy.
So I decided that I should gift her a worm factory this Christmas complete with worm farm instructions. I began my search using the internet and found that there were indeed many suppliers who could provide good worm factories which were easy to maintain and keep in homes and collecting worm castings could never been easier. And they came with small taps at the bottom of the worm factory to collect the worm tea. My wife loved the gift.
Creating A Zen Atmosphere With A Japanese Garden
The Japanese have a way when it comes to incorporating design with relaxation that stems back hundreds of years. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Japanese garden design. The classic and most popular is the karesansui, more popularly known as the Zen garden. This has been adapted over the years and the rules on creating one have also relaxed. But the key principles have remained simple, yet effective. The main point of a Zen garden is to use sand or gravel to represent the sea instead of water. Rocks are also used and traditionally represent mountains.
